I Salute You, Squad

Honestly, I'm very proud of my squad-mate, Lt Col Robert Rizal Abdullah PGB. When I visited him on 2nd Hari Raya, 20/8/12, at Taiping....
Served with delicious laksa

he was telling me about his pet projects in Sarawak. And, later I read this report in the NST...
His noble missions of poverty eradication for the Iban veterans

And then, there was this article in the Sunday Star, 26/8/12.....

'Last Journey To Sarawak'

It was through his relentless efforts, all the remains of 21 Iban Trackers and Sarawak Rangers were, quote 'after two long years, the remains were finally brought home to their final resting place in Kuching in a Heroes Memorial on July 27, 2011', unquote......What an achievement, my friend!

Squad....Well done.

Squad, even as I read your comments here, I couldn't hold back my tears of joy and happiness - not for myself but at the "joys" my efforts had brought to the next -of-kins of the 21 Iban Trackers and Sarawak Rangers killed in the 1st Emergency in Malaya. Never in their wildest dreams they would have thought of being "reunited" with the deceased.

Salam Tn Mejar Nor Ibrahim,

Touching moments indeed... " Operation Mai Pulai" - watched this on TV news. May these souls rest in peace!

The motto 'Agi Idup, Agi Ngelaban' - these heroes fought gallantly against the communists. Thus its indeed appropriate to be given top honours and accolades they rightly deserved during the burial of their remains at the heroes grave in Kuching.”

To Tn Robert Rizal,
BRAVO TUAN... It's just like 'leave no man behind' and you've just brought them home Tuan...(pardon me if i'm wrong with this phrase Tuan)

p/s read about Awang anak Raweng before. Brave and courageous warrior he is!

Salam Tuan

Having seen Lt. Col Robert Rizal Abdullah in recent History Channel on Last Journey To Sarawak, I would congratulate him on all efforts done to ensure the said unsung heroes were flown back to rest in their motherland.

This is another clear example that you can achieve anything you want if there is a will.

I would salute him too and looking forward to get all the books written and to be written by him.

Squad,

This jotting is my personal tribute to you.

Cik nur_emyinda12 & Saudara Sanusi,

I missed the show.

Sarawak Rangers and Trakkers are very fortunate to have him around. I wish he would be recommended for 'Datukship' soon, insyaAllah.
