Tragedi 26 April 1976...ANM

Fikir-fikirkanlah.

MEJAR NOR IBRAHIM BIN SULAIMAN TUDM (B)

Saya bersedia membantu sekiranya diperlukan.

Terima kasih.

MEJAR NOR IBRAHIM BIN SULAIMAN TUDM (B)

Pembaca...kita tunggu 26 April 2010.

nor,

,,,well done brother !.
,,,many of us are still around to relay what actually happened and in fact, we should get the accounts from our fighter pilots too, cos. it was the very 1st time we shot back in anger.
,,,the final pull out from Thailand should also be included ?....or maybe that's why the govn. has been keeping quiet about it !. We very nearly went to war with Thailand for it.

Dear Sharif,

After 34 long years of being forgotten...by the nation and RMAF!

Capt's Longhouse berkata...

,,,we had then, a defence minister that committed murder !..and he is now walking free too geeee ! Now, guess why that period is best forgotten by the Government and existing rusty military leadership ?.
,,,this govn. is just thinking of their own very survival and how to enrich themselves b4 GE 13, from the looks of it.
,,,there is no pride in any of them and history will forget them too. Made no history too.
,,,a nation without histories and heroes to remember by is not a nation. Just a waste land indeed !.
,,,BUT its NOT too late, we can remind them since we are still alive and kicking ?. So keep the ball rolling and am sure you will finally score the goals.

Dear Nor,

Just wonder what PR Mindef is doing. I suppose they are too busy to even raise this issue to their bosses, who are also too busy with the personal chores.
This is how Mindef honours their heroes, or are they really concern of ever remembering our heroes. Sadly, even the services pretend that they don't even know such incidences ever happened.
Once again Nor, keep the pressure on.

Surely PAT does not know the 26 April tragedy as he was not even involved in any military operation!!!
Pak Chad just track the PAT background what was he doing in 1976!!!
For AKSPA, ehmmmmm .......
Just like what was said by capt, rusty military leadership but very sharp with golf, wine and cigar.
So, who cares!!! PM? Defence Minister? Existing generals?
Tension.......zilch reaction from the top military bra....ss and sicko!!!!!!

Dear Dato',

I'll try my best to keep on pursuing the issue of the allowances, InsyaAllah. Thanks for the support.

Dear Anonymous,

A real pity that MAF has totally neglected those heroes! If the PDRM is proud of "Bukit Kepong"...MAF should be proud of Gubir Tragedy.

Dear NIBS,
Well done, at least you've got a response from ANM. I agree with Pak Uban that since there are still a great number of those who were involved in the operations in and around the time of the "Nuri Tragedy" (both in the svc and retired),there shud be an effort to document all those incidences to let the man in the street know how much we have sacrificed for the country. Imagine... we were then flying in and out of LPs and counting the blessings and luck of not getting shot at! But yes ,, bullets were whizzing all around us, some got shot ... and survived but..some of our comrades in arms didn't (may God bless them) I remember those days when we stepped out of the Mess (for the bachelors la!)to go for flying, there was always the thought , "wonder wether I will survive the day and be able to come back to sleep on my bed or still "sleep" and buried under the cold earth/soil. Well a lot of us survived but we have remained silent and not wanting to tell others about our ordeal and tribulations. So it's good that people like you Nor and Pak Uban have started telling others about our experiences. Mebbe others will follow suit and as for me I intend to but wait for the right time.

To answer the question where was the PAT then during the tragedy, well... he was not even a pilot yet!! Yes he was not in control of a flying machine, but in control of a microphone controlling flying machines... an air traffic contoller!

Woww!!! Anon 7:42!!! That man who is PAT now was in the aircond room in 1976!!! no wonder he has got a brain either frozen or empty!!!
How the nation can put this guy to be at that position..... ?
No wonder what was brought up by mej, he is not interested at all or he is wondering to go on leave again to DUBAI.
Think about time to wake up the Defence Minister and please don't get his brain frozen too.
Macam mana dengan PTU tu... apa dia buat? Continue to remain kelabu eversince!!!
Alahai...TUDM... apa nak jadi!!!

Katon Tin Ton berkata...

Bila US buat filem, baru kita nak kecoh. Apasal kita tak buat filem dulu sebelum dia org?

Dear Anonymous,

PTU was already a pilot then (masa tragedy 24 Apr 76)and he was very much involved in the operations at the border, doing bombing runs on the Tebuans. I guess he was involved ptior to the earlier incident where the Nuri piloted by Lt Murad was shot. You see before the Nuri went in, Waves of bombings were being done by the
F5Es and Tebuans dropping the 1000 lb and 500 lb bombs and followed by straffings by the Alouette gunships. Yet the CTs were still there waiting to take potshots at the Nuris. I salute you Nuri pilots! You were there receiving the brunt of the attacks by the CTs!
Ex Nuri/Alouette Pilot

P/S hello all you Ex Gubir veterans out there (people on islands included) how about a reunion, nothing fancy, just teh tarik and nasi bungkus will do. Important things is just to catch up on old frens and talk about old times. Anybody willing to take it from there?

The whole island is invited too FOC but must be piraty dressed-up cos its a PIRATE night. We shall bbq a lembu and tons of sotong to be freshly caught from the sea !.
don't forget to bring a bottle of something too hehehe...pot luck drink in a tempayan as standard protocol all these years hic hehehe.

Pak Uban,
That's not a bad idea, a reunion at Cotton Island. But the reality of it, I dont know, it's already difficult to get people to gather in KL , what more getting them to go to your pirate's hideout off the Marang coast. But we can give it a try. For starters all you Gubir Vets out there start sending out feelers about this reunion at Cotton Island, ya on 6 june 2010 to honour this pilot turned pirate (to a chinaman the likes of LST, a pilot is a pirate anyway!). Those still working please find time, take leave and head for the east coast, google and use your GPS to get to the island. As far as I can remember we have organised 2 reunions so far, first one was at Hotel Equatorial Bangi and I cannot remember where the
2nd one was held (memory giving way!)Well maybe we can extend the invitation to our ground counterparts, the Army guys who were with us doing the Gubir stint. Over to you guys.

Capt's Longhouse berkata...

,,,its 5th june on my birthday !. Pirate Party on the beach, great fun as always. hohohoo !!

Can we invite PM, Defence Minister, KSU, PAT and PTU......hahahhahahahahaha if they come will bbq them instead!!!
Can we import some Mongolians worker to cotton island.
over to you...hohohoooooho.
