Salam Tuan

Volvo 3/4 ton & 3 ton Merkedis.. Nothing can beat that workhorses, so tough & reliable.

The best part of the said Volvo 3/4 ton is on his unique axles which has become talk of the town for 4x4 off-road enthusiasts. Hard to find + very expensive modification.

As for the 3 ton Merkedis, heavy but easy to handle especially slippery & hilly areas despite using power-lengan only. This remind me on the time we were at PULADA where we beat Hino on the way to Calgustav (betui tah ejaan tu, dok ingat plak) shooting range. Kayo sekejap bulan tu...

Good work , KP Officer,
From my boy squad mate 1979-1981 , Kol Halim RAMD (still in service) received a PGB in Somalia while Lt M Ngow Duo Sin was killed in Jala Aman ops back in 1983. He was my room mate as a newboy in 1979. he joined SSC 40 in the late 1980 while I went for my study in the middle of 1981. While on holiday in mid of 1983, I was informed that he was killed while on ops duty. He was with 2 Armoured and the new was that he was shot by his own troup using a GPMG. That was the last I heard. it has been 28 years now since the incident. Do anybody know the actual story. TQ

Sir,
Has been in the same formation with Mej Rajasaikaran (2nd Lt Rajasaikaran when the chopper shot downed) before I left the service. A nice gentlemen and I never knew he was involved in the incident. At that time i was posted out from 21 GGK in Sg Udang to KL and him to IPDA in Port Dickson. Another name is Kapt Akhbar Khan. I served with him in the same formation when he was the CRE for 11 Div Strategic, the neclues for 10 Bgd Para. Kol Akhbar left before I was posted out where he joined the Golden Plantation. I presumed Mej Rajasaikaran should have retired by now. Both of them are good officer and gentlemen and have proved their loyalty to this country.

Tambahan keterangan gambar : 2LT Syed Ikmal Hashim (paling kanan)ialah yg kena ambush dalam Pt2, Brig Gen (B) Dato Shahbani (second from left) and officers of 7th Ranger Regiment in Gubir camp. Jagathisan, a much junior officer on the left was later drowned during a riverine Ops in Kanowit, Sarawak.

Gambar semasa first parade task inspecting fleet of Mercedes : On the extreme background is one the 3tons that was ambushed in Gubir. It was riddled with bullets and three gaping holes, fired from grenade launchers. Pmd Hussain dari C Platun, 20 Kompeni Angkut terkorban bersama 6 lagi anggota 7 Renger Regt semasa serang hendap diGubir.

Dukacita orang 'Angkut' macam saya, langsung tak terpahat didalam mana mana cerita sejarah melainkan hal masak nasi, supply ration dan pulas kayu mati bawak lori sahaja.

Sungguh melati senang dipetik. Harumnya mashor seluruh alam.

Salam Yop,
Ramai juga nampaknya yang dah baca cerita yang teman tulis dalam Blog mika ni, based on the indicator on the song by Shura didalam Pt 2. When I first posted it, the indicator or paparan was 62,768 dan terkini ialah 67, 483 a jump of about 5000 in a short span.

Wassalam, Lt Xxxxx
